What is included in the cruise price?
Your cruise price includes your cabin, all meals (including the midnight buffet!), entertainment, parties and, of course, all transportation between all the ports on your itinerary. On most ships, alcoholic beverages, specialty dining and shore excursions are not included in the basic price.

What can I do on a ship?
That depends on the ship and what you enjoy doing, but generally the larger ships will have the most activities. You may wish to lounge on deck by the pool with a good book, sign up for exercise or cooking classes, swim, play bingo or bridge, gamble in the casino, take in a Broadway-style floor show or a magician's act, enter a talent show or a putting contest, take a dance class, or even get a massage.

How long do cruises last?

Will I feel bored or confined on board?
Your cruise is a floating resort, there are plenty of things to do. On-board activities begin at dawn and go well into the night. The scenery is constantly changing, and every port is filled with new and exciting opportunities for exploration.

Is airfare included in my cruise price?
Most prices listed on the web site are cruise only rates. We would be happy to price out the airfare for you through the cruise line. Please note you may be better off booking the airfare on your own as the cruise lines do not contract air rates with the discount air carriers. Please keep in mind that the cruise lines do not offer airfare within 30 days of sailing, so you would have to purchase your airfare separately if you are leaving within 30 days.

Can I afford a cruise?
Cruises are the best vacation value for your dollar. If you can afford a land based vacation then you will see the terrific value in cruising.

What's a shore excursion?
A Shore Excursion refers to anything you do off the ship, in port. At every stop, you'll have the option of exploring the area on your own or as part of a group with a planned itinerary. You might hike a tropical rain forest in the Caribbean, fish for king salmon in Alaska, tour Mayan ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, or take a sightseeing tour. If you prefer to just walk off the ship and not book a shore excursion you always have that flexibility.

Are all cruise ships the same?
Every cruise line has it�s own uniquite ambiance, they are absolutely not the same. They range from yacht-like vessels with 100 passengers to towering megaships with huge atriums and a maximum capacity of over 3,000 people.

Will I need a passport?
US Citizens beginning or ending their cruise in an international port are REQUIRED to present a passport. Passports must not expire within 6 months of the end date of your trip. Until 6/1/09 US citizens beginning AND ending their cruise in a US port are permitted to bring a certified birth certificate AND a valid government issued ID. However, passports are strongly recommended. Note: if you are now married and your name is different then on your birth certificate, you will need to take a copy of your marriage license. All non-US citizens need to verify the proper travel documents with www.ZVS.com, it is the traveler�s responsibility that they have the correct documents to travel and you may be denied boarding if you do not have the correct documents.

Is a cruise suitable for families with kids?
Cruises are great for families! The large cruise ships are now designed with kids-only facilities, counselors, daytime activities and nighttime baby-sitting. Children of all ages are welcome on most ships. Your cruise counselor can advise you of the dwindling number of ships that are not kid-friendly.

Are cruises really that popular?
They are very popular and continue to build new ships to keep up with the consumer demand. More than ten million people will cruise in the next year, and cruising routinely earns the highest ratings in customer satisfaction among all vacation categories. Once you try it, you'll be hooked.

What is a Day at Sea?
A Day at Sea is a full day spent sailing between two ports. Most cruises include one or more Days at Sea

Are cruises suitable for single travelers?
Cruising is very popular with single travelers, and cruise lines go out of their way to make it easy for singles to meet and mingle with other passengers. Some cruise ships offer single cabins, and most offer a single supplement rate for double staterooms.
